Linkbaiting Basics

If you’ve been around the blogosphere, chances are – you already have an idea what linkbaiting is. SEO experts use linkbaiting as a strategy to promote the page.

What is linkbaiting? It is an SEO technique that focuses on the web content. Articles, blog posts and pictures are design to encourage other users to link to you. Linkbaiting usually focuses on your niche as it brings quality traffic to your site.

Linkbaits draw people to link especially if there’s a great content. Linkbaiting is free which why it is considered as a household SEO technique – you don’t have to pay or do anything in order to get links for your site.

Why do you need these links anyways? You need other sites to promote your page. You can establish a good reputation if your site is being referred to by many other websites – web visitors will find your site interesting and something useful thus it will drive more traffic making you searchable in the search engines.

When you link to other sites, remember to look for that site’s niche. The website must be related to yours; otherwise the links from that site are pretty useless. Also, before linking to that site – make sure it is reputable or it can hurt your reputation.

In SEO, you have to apply what you have learned. If it works, then keep doing it.
