Important Things to Remember when Blog Commenting

Believe it or not, blog commenting contributes to the ranking of the blog site. It builds quality links that redirect to the site, which is a good way to establish your expertise in your niche. Another advantage of blog commenting is to form a casual relationship with other bloggers in your industry – a partnership with influential bloggers can go a long way. But you need to have a proper decorum when you do blog commenting.

  • As much as possible, use your real name. Don’t hide your identity if you want to earn the trust of others. Build a trust with other bloggers and readers.
  • Add value to your comments – don’t stick with generic comments like “great post” or “awesome.” Put some weight in the conversation. If you’re going to comment, then make an actual and interesting comment. You can establish yourself as an expert through blog commenting.
  • Comment on blogs that are relevant to your industry. Focus on blogs that are in your niche for readers are more likely to visit your blog site.
  • Make a constructive comment. Make your comments stand out. Add something interesting on the topic. But don’t be rude. Consider your online reputation as it reflects your business.
Through blog commenting, you can meet new people from your niche. Focus on writing great comments that offer some real value on your reputation. Comment because you have something to say – not only because you want to have backlinks.
